Trombone Repair
You may have noticed that we do not list services for "budget or economy overhauls". This usually involves little or no dent removal and then just buffing and lacquering. We feel that for the small amount of money saved, it is not worth it. The more times an instrument is buffed, leaves a little less material remaining for future restoration.
We also do not breakout into separate prices of each process such as dent removal and buffing. If an instrument needs complete dent removal or buffing, it will only be done as a complete overhaul.
Description of Services & Price Guide
Major Services:
The finish is completely stripped. Dents are removed and body alignment is done. Everything is buffed to a mirror finish. It is finished with clear lacquer or plating. Rotory valves are checked for leakage and fit. If slide or valve plating is required it will be done at an additional charge.
NOTE:
We take special pride in all our refinish work whether it is a student, vintage, or professional model. Special attention
is given when buffing around engraving and also not to thin the metal excessively. All buffing removes metal, so it must be done
with respect to the integrity of the instrument. Some deep imperfections will not be removed.
