Packing & Shipping Instructions
It is very important that you pack your instrument well so that it arrives to us in the same condition it left you. If you are using a shipping service, please give them these instructions. We will re-use your box and packing materials to return ship your instrument. Using improper boxes and materials creates a problem that increases our cost. We cannot risk your instrument being damaged when we pack it to return ship it to you. If your materials are unacceptable, there will be a minimum $10 additional fee for us to pack it properly. We regret doing this, but you can avoid it by following our instructions.
If you are shipping your instrument in its case:
1. Use bubble wrap to pad the instrument inside the case to make sure it cannot
move. Instruments can be damaged even inside a good case if they are not snug.
2. Use shrink wrap or tape to secure the latches on
the case so they cannot open.
If you are shipping it without a case, wrap the instrument in at least 3 layers of large bubble
wrap or 6 layers of small bubble wrap.
3. Choose a sturdy box that is large enough to have room for 2-3 inches of packing
material around the instrument. Use only foam peanuts, bubble wrap, or air pillows.
We have not seen instruments
damaged if our instructions are followed. Insurance is recommended. We have a secure drop off, DO NOT USE SIGNATURE REQUIRED. This
could cause your instrument to stay on the truck even longer.
NOTE: The only approved packing materials are foam peanuts, bubble
wrap, and air pillows. No newspaper, shredded paper, kraft paper, or hard styrofoam.
